I don’t think there’s anything wrong with a Jewish state in principle. The reason I’m anti Zionist is because Israel infringes on Palestinian’s rights to a Palestinian state, not because I see anything inherently wrong with a state that is only for Jews

I think there are problems with ethnostates as a whole, but it’d definitely be less problematic if Jews were settling an inhabited region. The problem with Jewish territorialism (of which Zionism is a subset, but it also included the Jewish Autonomous Oblast and proposals for Argentina and Kenya) is that there isn’t anywhere liveable but uninhabited. Someone would have to be displaced or marginalized.

Like I think declaring a state as only for one ethnicity is still bad, but it’s not as bad as local people being displaced from their ancestral homes if that makes sense

Not at all, in fact, up until recently, most states were organized based on ethnicity.

Yeah, it actually is. Discrimination serves a purpose which is to provide a group with a strong sense of community. People like to organize based on shared identity, whether that’s language, religion, and yes, race. Depriving people of that causes them to feel isolated and therefore it’s wrong
