 What I still don’t understand is the complacency. How can so many Americans see evidence of our elected officials, thought leaders and economic tycoons participating in the largest sex trafficking scandal in history and just go on like nothing’s happened?

because, unfortunately, the average person cannot do anything. if we stop working, we can't afford food or rent. we aren't judges, we can't convict them. we can be incredibly disgusted but, realistically, we can only keep going on with our lives

I guess I had higher expectations of the American people than to accept comfort at the cost of countless women and children suffering through the worst experiences of their lives

I call my representatives once a week and look through the files for connections that haven’t been investigated yet and report those to whatever company/agency/etc. the individual works at. I’m not saying to stop living your life and revolt but there just aren’t enough people interested so our representatives do nothing

criticizing people for "doing nothing and going about their lives" and "accepting comfort over the lives of women and children" while you're doing the same exact thing. you aren't sacrificing anything. you are still complacent. you are hating from inside the club, in the same booth even.

I may not be leading the charge for what should be done but I am still doing more than 90% of people I know. You asked me what I was doing about it and I answered, it doesn’t change my position if that answer doesn’t satisfy you
