I mean there is truth in this, but the world just isn't set up to give normal kids a good life anymore. I don't really have faith that it'll turn around enough either

But to what extent, ya know? How much struggling are you willing to put yourself and your kid through just because you want a kid? At what point is having a kid irresponsible because they'll be growing up in a world where their entire life will be a struggle?

I mean you can raise your kid perfectly and they'll still be able to form their own viewpoints and opinions as they get older

I want to have a good outlook for the future, but it isn't looking too great and it'll be really hard to make any decent good progress. It truly only takes one thing for your good life to turn completely upside down

yea and climate change can do the plague mixed with extreme temps and extreme weather events which can cause food shortages. ontop of the deregulations already causing issues with food when there isn't a shortage. we also have ai agents that if placed in the wrong hands can cause mass casualty events or hack into the electrical grid. so it's like all the issues of the past plus our new issues and there's no solutions or care bc of greed and unless that changes, but climate is fucked too late

wont change unless people in power consistently want to actually help people and not just keep power. any generation can fall for this like you can make hella progress and then go backwards 100 years from one generation and it starts all over again
