i really hope paul says some of the same things in dune 3 that he did in the book version. Dune opened me up to politics in ways i didnt even consider before and i hope they stay true to herberts warning

I haven’t read the books, what ideas did they introduce you to? (Probably never going to get around to it so spoilers are okay)

never idolize anyone. charismatic leaders are always corrupted by their drive for power and the power itself once they achieve it. paul kills 70 billion people during the war he starts at the end of the second movie, he steralyzes almost 100 planets and eradicates 40 different religions tha lasted thousands of years by killing all the followers. and the amount of complexity/how mind opening it is to how political posturing actuallg functions in a realistic setting is disturbing and eye opening.
