This guy is so stupid man. New York is gonna be ruined with these big ugly bins. And there’s already no parking in the city, now it’s even less

Manhattan is a walkable city with a reliance on public transportation, most people born and raised in that borough don’t even know how to drive so it’s not that big of the deal. All of the other boroughs have plenty of parking so you’re either not from here, or you’ve never left Manhattan so I’m confused why you’re talking. And you realize how dumb you sound? “Garbage off the streets! God what a horrible man, he’s ruining the city!” Get a grip and go do some cognitive strengthening.

Your first mistake is assuming people think it’s a good idea to drive to manhattan in the first place

If you live in NYC I think walking and taking the bus come part of the package

The problem isn’t lack of trash cans, it’s a cultural thing

The piss bottles all over the sidewalk is ESSENTIAL to nyc culture. Manhattan wouldn’t be the same without the refreshing smell of shit drifting through midtown

It’s the same reason why parts of India are covered with trash

As opposed to leaving the city alone. It’s perfect how it is

Still. Those bins take up precious space which we already don’t have

the only cultural thing touched on here is how painfully stupid white supremacists are, mostly by their own choice as well. can’t maintain an ideology as imbecilic as yours without willful ignorance.

Those bins will smell 100x worse than trash bags once no one’s cleaning them. They’ll just trap mold, bacteria, pathogens, and all that. The garbage bags suck but at least they don’t stay long enough for harmful stuff to culminate

it’s hilarious how much you’re coping, you’re at the point of defending garbage bags piled in the street vs more trash cans, out of what, pure spite? grow tf up you dumb fuck lmao

I’m against white supremacy. When I say it’s a cultural thing I mean people don’t value a clean environment. So they throw trash wherever. If we all had the culture of carrying you trash with you until you find a trash can (instead of throwing it in the street) the problem would be solved

ah, apologies for my misunderstanding then; I’ve normally only seen people attempt to minimizing issues into a “cultural” one whilst also being a form of a racial supremacist, and in all honesty the comment regarding India in combination with the initial one served to affirm my pre-assumptions (not claiming they were correct, I understand they weren’t now, but explaining the reasoning behind it)

In all honesty I feel like poverty is more related than “culture”, but I do see what you mean regarding if we all just held our trash to throw it out; but regarding poverty I feel as if most people feel betrayed in a way (for lack of a better word), which contributes to a lack of a common sense of public service/contribution

It’s honestly just the lack of frequent trash services that can handle the volume of garbage in NYC. It’s purely a policy issue. There would still likely be the occasional piss bottle, but the massive trash heaps can be avoided if NYC can find the money to do so.

Again, you just don’t know what you’re talking about. Some garbage bags have been so built up and not taken care of people name them like it’s a monument. You’re constantly proving you know nothing about this city either in general or as a whole. Garbage doesn’t stay long in Manhattan because it’s Manhattan, all the other boroughs have a serious problem with garbage, especially the Bronx. I genuinely think you lack serious cognitive ability if you’re arguing against garbage bins.

Right but it doesn’t cost anything to hold your trash. They just do not care

see this is what I mean, you’re trying to make it out to be an individual or cultural issue rather than reflective of larger societal issues, and this is exactly why I had an issue with your sneaky India mention. out of curiosity, are you still supporting that “America first” shit?
