Tactical success seldom translates to strategic success. It’s way too early to know what’s going to happen but it’s not going to be a cake walk lest you fall for the same BS Americans did during Iraqi Freedom.I mean what are they waiting for? Never once in history has a nation waited until their leadership was wiped out and primary defense capabilities obliterated before making their real defense, all that does is guarantee they’ll lose even more than they already were, on the small chance that their counterattack will be sufficient
I have no doubt that we’ve seen everything, what blows my mind is people trying to paint this as something it isn’t. I despise Trump because I’m not a fucking idiot. But i also recognize reality, and it’s okay to admit that the results of his decision are working, even if the decision itself shouldn’t have been made
I mean I think we fundamentally have different perspective on how we’re approaching it too. For me, it’s super hard to divorce the purely military from the political/strategic or the present from the future since that was whole job in the past. But yeah I could see where you’re coming from if we focused on just what’s been happening so far.
