Because some of us have to pay for your dogshit deficits. To quote the moronic self-proclaimed conservative girl I had the displeasure of speaking to the other day “Nothing is free”
Why can’t liberal states have low taxes like red states

Honestly? If blue states seceded from the federalist tax system, the red states would collapse.

Yeah? Tennessee? You sure that’s the example you want to go with? The state that brings in MORE federal spending than its overall residents pay into federal revenues? That Tennessee?

California obviously being a NET CONTRIBUTOR aka their residents pay MORE in federal taxes than they receive back. Kind of crazy! Maybe some shit ass states like Tennessee with their little deceptive law of making sure the budget is balanced every year should stop having 25% of their state and local revenues rely on the federal government. Cute attempt though!

Blue states could lower their taxes and this would still be fine for Tennessee

2018-2022 blue states subsidized red states by more tha 1 trillion usd. That’s 4,300 per capita. Red state citizens receive almost 4,300 usd per capita from blue state citizens. What do you think would happen if half the population living paycheck to paycheck suddenly had to pay an additional 4.3k, and the other half suddenly didn’t have to pay that?
