At what point do people decide it’s enough to upend their private lives? Are we waiting for the gears of justice to turn? Civil conflict? Another ‘great man of history?’ Some are leaving or have already left. I want to walk away from this as well. I don’t have a solution for everyone. Sometimes, you just need to walk away.

Sometimes I wonder if we’re forced to work all day every day so that when times like this come, we can’t riot in the streets 24/7 until change is actually made because we need to be at work so we can have enough money to survive. If you skip a week of work so you can actually demand change, you risk losing your job or not having a paycheck to pay for your food, shelter, and utilities. They keep us in poverty so we can’t fight back
