I disagree. Republicans make laws that actively harm black people while democrats ignore systemic issues that actively harm black people. If what I said was false, systemic racism wouldn’t be an issue several decades after reconstruction or multiple centuries after slavery but it is.

The historical versions of the parties really aren’t related to what they are like today, but that’s not my point. It’s not as simple the as liberal and conservative ideologies liking or disliking racism. Racist people are everything with varying degrees of racism, but that doesn’t mean it’s equal, nor is it apart of either ideology

Like neither of your points are incorrect, but that doesn’t mean “democrats are racist.” SOME are, many aren’t, and the ideology as a whole is not. It’s a generalization

No I’m not. Republicans and their adjacent and liberal democrats and their adjacent are similar in that they wish to work within the same system that negatively impacts black people. No matter what person sits on capital hill, black communities suffer because at its core this system is racist whether coincidentally or intentionally and since liberals wish to work within that system they are also racist in my eyes.

Granted my thoughts are rugged but this is my belief. Neither party does right by black people and neither care enough to repair the damage done to my community because they don’t care. So yes I say liberals in general are racist.

Humanity as a whole is racist but that doesn’t automatically make you and me racist for being apart of that system. Choosing to fight for change from within a system rather than tearing it all down is not a sign that you agree with that system

Countless gains have been made within this racist system by people fighting against the status quo. Ending of slavery, universal suffrage, marriage equality, etc. In my view, that’s what liberalism is about: fighting to make our system better than it is today for everyone
