As a republican I do think we should provide mental health services for trans people. We had 2 trans at our school. One unalived themselves right before graduation and the other did 2 years after graduating. It’s actually crazy

Theres nothing wrong with having different views that align with both parties but i hope you reconsider being a republican if trans issues or LGBTQ+ issues in general are important to you

But that doesn’t particularly solve the root problem, considering the biggest contributing factor to suicidal ideation in trans people is systemic and interpersonal discrimination

Their issues are not important to me. I’m a mental health advocate on a more broader level and based on my experience like the two I’ve mentioned above they’re disproportionately affected by mental health issues

have you considered contributing factors to those “mental health issues”? systemic oppression is a major factor in that conversation
