also provisional voting has been around for like two decades! if you’re registered to vote, you can still cast a ballot even if you’re in a different area than where you’re registered. the state is responsible for checking your registration/valid ID and then approving your ballot. i’m registered to vote in my hometown (bc that’s what my ID says), but i can still vote while i’m at college. the ballot is exactly the same, they just check to make sure my registration is valid.

you shouldn’t have to buy/bring 4 documents to the polls when the government is well within their means to make sure that you are eligible
