Imagine posting “if your job could be replaced by an illegal immigrant, you’re a fucking idiot” only to delete the post the MINUTE a cook responds, with how it’s fucked up that they pay immigrants less for the same job, and how that threatens us cooks.

The ONLY reason I kept my job was because I spoke Spanish. Which made me good at both training and managing the immigrant workers, who were being paid under the table, at a rate lower than the cooks who got laid off for them to come in. Which is not fair to the immigrants, me, OR the people who lost their jobs. It fucked over all 3 people in that equation. Only person who benefitted was the restaurant owner.
