Like well checks for preventative care are not common there and diseases like strep fall under the umbrella of “sore throat/tonsilitis” and you’re told to walk it off.

Kind of a smart way to keep strain off the system, granted as long as people with other conditions that could worsen with strep or other sicknesses are properly cared for

Preventative care is a good thing. For how fucked up our system is the concept of well checks is something good that came out of it

Sicknesses like strep can trigger other long term effects in anyone if not treated btw. That’s why I prefer not to just walk it off.
