Please don’t get mad but we as a society have gotten so lazy. I think reflecting back on Kamala’s campaign, many people said she had no policies when in actuality she did. And because ppl ran with that narrative we have a fucking idiot in office.

I’ll always be combative with leftists who think that Harris wouldn’t have been any different than Trump, but there were a plethora of reasons why she lost, some were in control and some weren’t. I don’t think it’s that she didn’t have policies, it’s that she didn’t give anything transformative enough that sparked interest. I think the average American felt like they were going to get more of the same. That being said, I can’t actually conceptualize the reasons for going back to Trump.

Well i have no clue what her policies were and I was pretty involved in that election cycle. She refused to do interviews off script period. If she went on Joe Rogan it would have been so different. The fact trump went on joe rogan and a bunch of podcasts was so crazy and seemed so transparent, look where that got us

Im pretty sure “no policies” was a figure or speech that meant “no promising, interesting, or exciting policies” which is 100% true. Obviously she was better than Trump, but you gotta offer more than just not being him. As far as I am concerned, she deserves some blame for running such an incompetent campaign, even though once again, obviously she was the better choice.

US politics has devolved into brainrot. No policy, just partisan attacks, propaganda, and finger pointing.

In her time spent in public office she was the definition of lazy. During her 4 years as senator she quite literally created one policy change. One. That puts her in the bottom “0%” after rounding

I’m willing to say it’d probably have been more fleshed out and appeared more competent if it didn’t have to be put together overnight. Now, I wouldn’t vote for her in a ‘28 primary, but I’m willing to give the benefit of the doubt for ‘24.

Ironically im FAR more sympathetic to her in 28 because I think she might have learned some lessons. Id also do anything to stop Gavin.

Yeah the average American thought that she was going to be another Biden which was not a good thing when you consider Biden was historically unpopular. Obviously another Biden would have been better than Trump but she failed to motivate her base to vote whereas Trump motivated his. P.S I’m a leftist from CA who voted for her.

You’re weaponizing data that was when she was running for president/vice president in 2019-2020. “Legislators running for president or vice president typically miss votes while on the campaign trail” From GovTracker, the same site where that data comes from.

I think its fair to say that the 2 years she was campaigning doesn’t excuse the emptiness of her service

If for 2 years your primary responsibility was to create policy changes that bettered the lives of the people you represent and you effectively did nothing during that 2 years I would call you lazy

I think you’re in a better position to criticize her than other leftists just by the fact that you live in California. I’m a liberal in Michigan, so I firmly stand behind any Democrat that can breathe and say something coherent. I’d rather Gavin Newsom than damn the country to JD Vance.

Biden was unpopular and I’ve been doing a lot of reading as of late to more or less find out where independents and moderates were landing and why. It’s so blackpilling on the answers they gave that I almost want to just peace the fuck out and give live in the woods.

Low output can mean many things. Weak strategy, bad priorities, lack of leverage. “Lazy” is just you choosing the most insulting interpretation.

I personally thought she ran a horrible campaign. Despite her being a black woman which is unfortunately negatives against her I felt like if she ran a decent campaign she could have killed Trump. I understand why people in swing states like Michigan might have a different view & don’t blame you.

If you were pretty involved and didn’t know her policies then you actually weren’t involved. They were on her website, she spoke about them at rallies, idk what to tell you

no she spoke bullet points and buzz words, but the she never went into detail and kept her interviews to scripted questions and shallow answers. “gun violence bad, trump bad, immigration good” is not a good policy.

Im not saying you have to agree with her policies, you can even say they were weak. But to make the statement that you were “Pretty involved” in the last election cycle and claim you had no clue what her policies were is false. She had very extensive policies around homeownership, Medicaid, immigration and childcare. Now we can have a whole conversation on how she marketed said policies to the average person, however you claimed to be pretty involved.
