Anyone else remember tpusa cosplaying as independents on their campus? When they pulled up to mine they told me with a straight face that they were a bipartisan political organization dedicated to increasing political literacy and participation 😅

If TPUSA is a bipartisan champion of political literacy then I’m the queen of England

Oklahoma is trying to mandate chapters in all schools now. WTAF - this is a hate group!

Technically that’s not a lie. Right-leaning Democrats are still a thing, although they are nearly extinct.

As far as I know TPUSA has always claimed to be a conservative non profit organization

Yeah they’re sneaky about it lol. Same thing with the Christ on campus people who make banners promoting their inclusivity to attract new young members but still maintain that it’s a choice and a sin to be gay 🫤

Idk if it’s truth either though. There may be a few people in tpusa who vaguely resemble moderate democrats but as an organization they’re largely conservative and I don’t think conservatives are known for being particularly pro literacy or pro voter participation

Idk maybe it was just the particular chapter I was talking to. But that’s why I talked to them in the first place, I knew them as clearly conservative so I was surprised to see them marketing themselves as more centrist
