Functionally it’s suicide by cop or becoming the defendant in a murder trial with literally every resource the federal govt has trying to get u life

I don’t want American civilians shooting at ICE. But I do want American law enforcement hunting them down and using necessary force to shut them down. I want governors to put bounties on ICE officers, and I want the National Guard involved. That’s the only appropriate response to what these bastards do.

The way that *could* act as a meaningful deterrent would be a sort of community patrol deal a la The Black Panthers, but again, ICE dgaf.

Absolutely. Although if I’m a governor considering this move, I’d be extremely wary of doing this because the trump admin would absolutely use it as a pretext to declare martial law. Which could get ugly fast.

Yeah this is a tough one. It’s still suicide by cop to threaten a cop with a gun. And if they’re a known armed group then cops would go into interactions with them already jumpy, and we know no court would ever convict an ice agent for shooting someone if there was even the slightest argument to be made that the ice officer was in danger, as we’ve already seen.

I hate sounding like I’m advocating for lawfulness while ice is allowed to conduct extralegal executions but I just don’t see any way that guns are helpful rn. Strategically I think other forms of protest, interference, and documentation are just a better bet
