The only thing worse than southern Confederate supporters are the rural northern ones. “Muh heritage” meanwhile they’re supporting the loser of a war from a state which fought on the winning side. It’s wayyy too common in Central PA and Upstate NY

Or like West Virginia which literally exists because of opposition to slavery. Not to mention many of these ppl came from coal mining families who were literally victims of company towns trying to circumnavigate bans on slavery
