Under Trump we’ve dropped out of 50+ global organizations most of which Russia isn’t allowed to participate in right now allowing for China to push their influence. Additionally with the tariffs implemented by Trump many of our closest trade partners now have China as their no. 1 trade partner. So basically we’ve left a massive geopolitical and economic void China has filled.

It's been interesting to watch. I don't think global influence is as important tbh. People will always trade and push good to the US. It's interesting the second we talked about buying Greenland the eu turned to china. Shows a lot tbh. Foreign affairs are wtv though.

Yeah it shows that countries do not take kindly to military threats to their own sovereignty and will rapidly switch to a reliable economic partner that doesn’t threaten them even if it’s authoritarian. Which is extremely obvious and predictable.
