Even with some softening on the issue, 70% of republicans don’t support January 6th. More support was for pardoning them, but they don’t support the issue

They don’t like facts, just let them have an opinion and treat it like the law

Yeah because leftists get shit done. Y'all watch from the sidelines while slavery, segregation, and state-sanctioned violence ran rampant.

This chart needs the original study and the sample size for any modicum of validity.

Let’s see who actually DOES the violence

“When 9/11 is excluded” seems like a big omission 😭

Yeah that part is a little stupid but I think it still shows the broader point im trying to make

9/11 was right-wing terrorism

This and all similar data suffers from the similar problems. What counts as political motivation? What counts as right wing? Is the Oklahoma City bombing plus some prison murders by skinheads enough to declare that the republican party as a whole supports violence?

Yes the OK City bombing was right wing. Nazis are right wing, and a ton support Trump! Even more frightening, a lot of them are in the Republican Party

Do you think the typical republican supports the Oklahoma City bombing or 9/11?

It was islamic extremism. To claim that muslim extremists and conservatives share many values is incredibly disingenuous

The average republican of the nineties? No. The average republican of today? Well, have you seen what happened on 1/6/21?

It was a “mostly peaceful protest” isn’t that what you guys call it? Did you see the riots that happened in Minnesota in 2020 or LA in 2025?

Do you have any data to support that?

Minnesota 2020 was 94% peaceful protests. This is a fact. Don’t let the media tell you otherwise. LA 2025 had the ICE gestapo there massively increasing the violence in the first place

94%? Is that an official number?

Ah so they support pardoning the criminals and neo nazis that stormed the capitol but not the storming itself. That really makes the party look good Also the approval rate has gone UP and the disapproval rate has gone DOWN over time

I said “despite the softening” I can read. Yeah republicans support pardoning them because they caused less damage and deaths than any other “riot” in the same 12 month period. When you’re being led around the capitol by security, no one is taking your attempt at an insurrection seriously, even if you are

So that’s not what you said😭 this is all BLM protests between May and August of 2020. You also got the number wrong

Between 1-2 billion dollars is a lot of damage for peaceful protests
