i don’t live in maine so like my opinion means shit but despite thinking of the republican party just unambiguously being a pro death party, and had supported platner off his political stances up until now…i couldn’t personally in good conscience vote for someone who is almost 100% known to be a rapist. i would just leave senate blank on my ballot unless he gets replaced with a candidate with similar progressive views

I’m hoping he gets replaced soon by one of our former progressive governor candidates. I don’t know if I could vote for Collins, but I know I will not vote for Platner now.

unfortunately based off the reports it’s gonna be 600 insiders choosing the new nominee……it looks like it’s gonna be an establishment centrist who believes in nothing and either isn’t fundamentally different, or isn’t willing to legitimately fight for the 80/20 and will roll over for whoever writes a check
