Law enforcement should be able to make the right call in that amount of time. They are charged with defending the public and if they cannot make the right call they shouldn’t be in law enforcement. And yes they should be held to a very high standard.

The rapid rise of fascism and collapse of our democracy?

Coming from the military, this is why we have TRAINING. The average person isn’t expected to be able to react to a situation like that quickly and with rational judgment, but a federal law enforcement officer is.

She was moving at 5 mph. He had no reason to even pull a firearm let alone detain her

Yes it is bro. Even if you don't think she hit him she barely misses him at the very best. (most reports say he was hit with the mirror) Acting in a split second to that most people would shoot including law enforcement.

Then he should take the hit. He is a public servant. Also he should be smart enough to not stand infront of a running car.

ah yes, the logical decision when a vehicle MIGHT hit you: shoot the driver 3 times instead of getting out of the fucking way to better assess the situation.

The vehicle did in fact hit him and yes that's pretty logical

yeah it brushed him at best. he wasn’t run over, and he wasn’t injured. maybe if he hadn’t been so busy trying to pull his weapon it wouldn’t have even brushed him.

Yes. His job is to put his life on the line for the public and if he can’t do that he isn’t suited for duty. He stood in front of the vehicle knowing full well what could happen.

right so he should act as the judge jury and executioner and murder her instead right? that sounds perfectly logical instead of simply stepping out of the way. even if she had been obstructing, the penalty ISNT DEATH.

She wasn’t protesting, we have confirmation of that from her family and friends. Ironic you call her dumb when he’s standing infront of a running car.

The initial aggressor loses their right to the claim of self defense. Standing in front of that car and blocking it meets the criteria for being the instigator

She waved them past, several other ice vehicles had already passed her. For the crowd that loved to say do your research you hate doing research.

She let multiple ice vehicles pass before their douchebag stopped and got in her face. He instigated it with no grounds of suspicion

He walked away and then fled the scene. It is not conceivable he believed she was trying to hit him and even if it was it was unacceptable.

She was clearly committing traffic violations. Before you say it, yes thats no reason to pull out a gun but let’s not get carried away and say there was no reason to detain her.

It was not a traffic violation, the agent who tried to grab in her car was directing her vehicle as he had with several others. He only attacked her
