I disagree with your framing, if the democrats had control of congress we would at least be in a better position to combat the admin. A lot of people on here seem to be against democrats when they’re the clearest way to make a change. I also agree that more could be done, but I’m not sure the best way to do so, and no one on here seems to give positive examples on making a change besides voting.
dude they’ve admitted to interfering with and changing the results of elections. it isn’t a matter of deluding ourselves into thinking that the democrats are an opposition party (which they aren’t, let’s not forget how the funding of genocide had bipartisan support for quite some time), it’s a matter of the electoral system being entirely fractured. did you think that they stopped trying to interfere with elections after staging a violent insurrection and coup on the capital, in an effort to
Which part did they admit to? The elector slates where done with a handful of people pretending to be the true electors, not a state wide effort to change votes. Each state is in charge of conducting its own election, and to have an ability to falsify each state would take a huge effort. From my understanding, the fear of the midterms was more of using ICE to intimidate immigrant citizens, or the SAVE ACT. It still matters that as many people vote for democrats as possible
and I’ve never said not to vote, I’m criticized the tonedeaf belief that voting alone is capable of combatting the rise of fascism. regarding to them admitting to interference, I’m referencing the 2024 election. Both Musk and Trump have publicly alluded to Musk utilizing his comprehensive wealth and resources to alter the outcome, going as far as claiming they wouldn’t have won without Musk. I never said the insurrection was statewide efforts, I specifically referred to the effort to certify
falsified elector slates during the ongoing insurrection outside, in which the only reason that didn’t happen, is because Mike Pence refused to vacate the capitol when the secret service tried to force him out. Chuck Grassley would’ve taken over presiding over the certification, and it was planned for Chuck to certify the false electors. surprisingly, Mike Pence out of all people preventing him from stealing 2020.
and what do you mean? it had nothing to do with people pretending to be electors, it was regarding a secondary falsified set of elector slates that were offered to congress for certification, stating that Trump won. basically, they falsified electoral college vote results, for a handful of key states, and attempted to get congress to certify those falsified vote results; all the while the president was orchestrating a distraction outside via inspiring his supporters to violently overrun the
aka, Harris won in 2024, she should be the president right now if the outcome of the election was truly honored; but she’s not because they made sure of that. if you ask me, it’s exactly why the DNC gave the fuck up in the aftermath of the election. they could’ve pushed the results to the Supreme Court, at the bare minimum even if SCOTUS wouldn’t rule in their favor; but they’re more concerned with civility over any semblance of justice.
Did Trump say Musk interfered with the results directly, or just that he won because Musk was supporting him on Twitter? I think you have a pretty good summary of Jan 6 and I appreciate that :), the handful of people I was referring to where those people in each state pretending to be the true electors to give the false electors more credibility, but my point was that it was ultimately orchestrated at the federal level, and
there’s actually a documentary that came out recently about this topic, fair warning though I haven’t watched it yet (hoping to tonight if I can find it) but I know musk is losing his mind over it lmao it wasn’t as much of a direct and explicit admission, and rather more of a repeated series of events in which either Trump or Musk would allude to the 2024 election’s outcome only happened because of Musk and his technology.
I will say though that I acknowledge that they’re hiding behind a veil of plausible deniability, so I can understand not wanting to immediately accept that especially how it relates to our overreaching topic; but I do feel as if it’s vital to consider the possibility of the electoral system being completely infiltrated, in order for us all to discuss the options we would need to take in that potential scenario (if that makes sense)
