Why tf is tennessee 7th district threatening Republicans to vote. Pretty much blackmailing them to vote say “Youre voting record is public and neighbors will see”.

Because they literally have nothing to run on. Tennesseeans are fucking ANGRY right now.

Also democratic voters are being told to vote late so there is no good side to this

There’s a very good chance the Dem candidate either wins or comes very close to winning. If either of those happened, it would be a massive sign of weakness Keep in mind District 7 leaned 22 points republican in 2024. So if a Dem loses by, say, 4 points then that’s a terrible sign for republicans. If a Dem wins, that’s an even worse sign

I think this is a common tactic of GOTV campaigns. The same was done in PA

realll, but yeah on a more serious note the pettiness of a certain side of this race is honestly astounding given that Van Epps could easily do much better if he just had a spine

Yes, in one poll that’s probably oversampled b/c district polling is screwy Because this race got so nationalized, MAGA will be extra motivated

pretty much every news source says the same thing even right leaning media. What does maga have to do with anything this is a district election. If they was motivated then the polls would show more skewed data

None of that is public and is not public for the purpose of bot causing bias. They’re practically election engineering with this threat of posting your voting record.

I get it’s not public public but the government does keep track of it in a public manner. Meaning I can see what elections I voted in. But nobody should be able to see who you voted for right

yeah bc its like how trump is all mushy gushy with maga republicans but someone like mtg and massie he is hostile to. You shouldnt know who voted for you at all bc then you would show a favor to them over others. Threatening to make that public knowing the state of unrest the US is in rn over politics is asking for more political violence.

It’s absolutely public in some states. Not who you voted for ofc, but whether or not you voted in a certain election https://www.ncsl.org/elections-and-campaigns/access-to-and-use-of-voter-registration-lists

Yeah depends on the TV/radio station. I live in DE but get a decent number of ads for PA and NJ. That was fun during this past November 🙃

$20 for all PA counties makes it a fucking gold mine for political data brokers who want to find people to text for donations

I get that is and thats fine who really cares if you don’t like either and feel they’re not gonna represent you then thats your decision. But outing someone who may be a registered republican but didnt like this republican nominee is sick on another level.

Your vote itself is still private. I think you can probably just leave the ballot blank or write in yourself if you really wanted to. But I see what you mean. I’m not sure what the point of them doing this was tbh

see thats why i cant fw either side when they do shit like that. Both sides are scumbags in their respective states.
