This is so funny. Vermont has one district. Why tf would there be a republican one if that only district is mostly democrat. The raw numbers are nonsensical if you don’t account for geographic distribution and how many districts there are.

I mean if republicans can’t win a district in Maine that went r+4 for Trump that’s their fault. And it would be incredibly difficult to draw a red district in most of these states, you’d have to gerrymander a district with crazy borders to get enough republicans. A lot of rural New England tends to be a bit more liberal than other rural areas so these states are a bit more politically homogenous throughout

I saw someone try to gerrymander in a single Republican district in Massachusetts and it looked crazy
