I’m not sure I’ll ever quite wrap my head around why, after multiple years of AI CEOs touring around saying they’d make every human useless and potentially cause the end of the world, leftists decided to latch onto water usage as the biggest problem w/ AI

Because saying that AI will bring the end of the world (while likely true) is some Terminator shit and no one really takes it seriously IMO

There’s arguably a lot of more damaging things that AI companies *are* doing right now but no one seems to be talking about them. It’s all just water water water which truly is one of the least worrisome things in my opinion
