Saw this, but the OG version with a gun was fascist propaganda designed to delegitimize resistance to state violence. This is the (intentionally or not) the same. There is no obligation to be the perfect victim or morally pure in your self defense

yeah it’s not so much a “anti resistance” as much as it’s a “there’s a story arc throughout the whole book relating to guns and this is the moment where batman teaches a whole group of people his ways and values including the lack of usage of guns as has been a core pillar of batman for a long ass time”
