There is a history of racial gerrymandering in North Carolina, but not in the way you might be implying. When NC has been caught using race improperly, it’s usually been because Republican lawmakers packed or split Black voters in ways that diluted their voting power, which hurts African American representation. It would unlikely benefit the Republican party

Nah keep California they're the only ones who did it democratically

Gerrymandering is bad no matter who does it/how it’s done. Only reason why CA needed a vote is because they’ve voted it into the constitution twice.

If they can prove gerrymandering was intentionally done on a racial line it is illegal. Very difficult because they can just claim it’s political not racial

But I think a lot of this was done explicitly using racial voting data 2024 for Hispanics or white RR

The whole premise of California’s proposition was that they would use their map IF Texas used theirs. Now it’s time to put your money where your mouth is. Or admit that California’s gerrymander was never about evening the playing field

So you admit it was never actually about advocating for Texans representation? It was always about getting more votes for Dems?

I don't think any state should gerrymander but I'm perfectly fine with republicans getting fucked over after unprecedented mid-decade redistricting to appease trump
