And nobody is expecting the government to roll over. They asked nicely, and the government said “no”, so now they’re not asking anymore. It’s not a request, it’s a demand. As in “there a hundreds of millions of the people, and like maybe 100,000 of ice agents and government officials, so do what the people say or else”. I mean the administration doesn’t even have the allegiance of the military, despite all their desperate attempts to appeal to them. It’s not looking good if you’re with them.
Sure. Criminals should be taken care of. Actual criminals who have committed criminal offenses. And they should be taken care off in accordance with the law of the land. Nothing more, and nothing less. ICE isn’t doing that, and the government was supporting them, so now they’re facing consequences from the people.
Take any person who is in this country illegally out of the country. It’s pretty simple. It’s not just about criminals anymore. And don’t give me the us was built on immigration crap, Bidens term had one of the highest number of people enter the country in on year. Now we need to get rid of them.
Hey man, I’m just observing what The People are expressing and doing, and explaining the law of the land. You wanna be mad about people without money or power somehow ruining “your” country even though statistics consistently contradict the typical arguments for that, that’s on you. Maybe you should join ICE and go fight for what you believe in. I’m sure it’ll turn out exactly how you’ve imagined and the country will become a utopia envied by the whole planet.
It’s the whole idea that immigration is good for the citizens is what gets me. When you increase the population but these new people don’t bring value then it’s a net drain. For example the controversy surrounding the Somali fraud and the amount of tax money that was stolen. When you increase the population there is less for everyone else. Now you have to share schools, hospitals, welfare, houses and jobs. Maybe I could accept it if the American people were in their prime in terms of financials
Ok. Now I’m going to share some opinion. The U.S. has roughly 17 million vacant housing units, and only around 700 thousand homeless people. Even if you add in the generation of young people still living with family instead of on their own, the housing crisis is caused by greedy billionaires hoarding real estate for the sake of their stock portfolio. NOT by immigrants.
