It’s fascinating that dumbass conservative logic says we seemingly need to ban anyone with any possible biological advantage from sports Come on let’s recreate that Harrison Bergeron dystopia book. No more tall basketball players! It’s unfair!

I’m really confused on this tbh. Like if one competitor has thalassemia (can cause shorter height if they don’t get growth hormone), do they want to ban everyone else from competition?

Men and women are different… nothing wrong with that, but they just are. Sports should be fair for both guys and girls, shouldn’t be any switching

I understand. So what are we supposed to do if someone is not average, which is the case here? Not everyone fits into neat boxes where the genetics align with their organs and hormones

The point is that nearly everyone does, like 99.999% of the time

When you make rules, you need to account for the 0.001% too

No you don’t and you can’t because the 0.001% changes for every rule. Every rule you make will not be fit for 0.001% of the population or more

Then you create exceptions and appeals processes

You can’t just ban someone from competing because they don’t fit with your expectation of how people should be

They aren’t banned from competing

You are trying to ban her from competing. You are trying to force a woman to compete in a man’s category because you don’t like her chromosomes, DESPITE her taking hormonal treatments to keep her within the boundaries the Olympic committee sets. Forcing a woman to compete in a men’s category is insanely disrespectful and dehumanizing.

What are you even talking about a woman’s should never be forced to compete in the men’s category

That’s what people want to force Kheleif to do? She’s a woman. They want to force her to compete as a man or to not do the sport at all.
