I like a lot of their platform, but when it comes down to the details I don’t like them. They feel like they’re either psyopping or trying to virtue signal. Take their stance on nuclear power, for instance. It’s basically all pseudoscience that “sounds environmental enough”. They nitpick over calling nuclear reactors carbon free when TECHNICALLY transportation of the fuel blah blah blah.

I like them, but voting for the Green Party candidate for office and thinking they’ll win is kind of like betting on green on a roulette wheel and expecting to make money.

As someone who is anti-two party, we are placed in a position in which we have to use the tools of our enemies. As in, we will need credible power within congress to make changes and allow political accessibility to our elections, meaning change has to occur while a specific office is in (which is why a lot of socialists are running for dems rn) they’re using the hand they’re given to make changes to the entire system

As much as dislike teddy Roosevelt, he kind of ate with the progressive party and how he campaigned. Jill stein didn’t really campaign to reform-mind voters which is honestly on the dems for running an anti-Trump campaign because that made any left-wing party look ineffective

Honestly, I give points to the psyop option because they only really show up for presidential election years. If they want power, they need to be campaigning at a lower level, getting senate seats and so on, because there’s no way they can win the presidency as they are but they can absolutely split the vote away from a candidate they would obviously prefer over the one that wins.

I’m pro nuclear, Green Party is very anti nuclear. Nuclear power gets a bad rap. There were big propaganda pushes by fossil fuel companies to brand it as unsafe as possible decades ago. The big problem everyone talks about is “what to do with the waste” but that’s honestly pretty much solved as is.

The scary part of nuclear power is when some stupid people decide to not do maintenance or go with lowest bidder contracts or whatever. But even then we haven’t had anything too bad happen and it’s like never getting in a plane again because you heard about the Hindenburg. There are individual dam failures with more deaths than the entire history of nuclear power.

It is the responsibility of a party to campaignand promote their policies. The only dealt stance Jill Stein took was being anti israel while also being against nuclear energy. She has zero charisma and that’s why nobody is voting for them
