Nah you can both acknowledge that violent crime is terrible, and also that using every single instance of a violent crime from a particular group as fuel for the fires of hatred against that group is clearly a method of propaganda.

If you claim to care about the victims of violent crime, but you only ever talk about the victims of violent crime where the perpetrators happen to be immigrants, it becomes very clear very quickly that your issue is with immigrants, and not with violent criminals, or any actual care for the victims.
