they’re outbidding working class families by making them worth more than they actually are. The average homebuyer is now basically retirement age than 30-40s. So many buildings in cities that just go empty because someone can just own it and let it be empty versus being useable housing. The way the supply is distributed, not necessarily a problem how many people are here. Everything points back to corrupt government and greedy corporations.

That’s a nice story and all but big corporations own ~3% of single family homes in the country (max). It’s simply not a big enough issue alone to cause the inflation you are talking about. Now millions of people flooding into the country over 20 years, that would.

NYC landlords have been trying to make Philly another NYC for decades now. Rent control here is as simple as growing out your grass and shooting into the air a few times a month. If it was because of immigrants, rent would be a lot higher. I pay $650 including utilities for a studio

Fun Fact: There are over 15 million empty homes in the US, AKA about 10% of the homes in the country. Most of those are seasonal or vacation homes. As always, it’s rich people that are the reason you should be mad, not immigrants.

Companies exploiting immigrant labor is part of the issue and not something the average voter can help regulate. It is once again the corporate rich creating these problems for the rest of us. It’s so dumb to be asking someone about this as if we have the power to fix it. Any sort of corporate regulation starts with strict oversight, minimum wage enforcement, and taxation, which the GOP will never do.

This is completely untrue. The government profiles you in extreme detail every time you go out or make a purchase. This is part of why Flock is an issue. Agencies like DHS have access to Ring cameras as well. We also do not have the freedom to do anything we want. Freedom of speech and the right to organize in protest is constantly under attack. You can’t even burn an Israeli flag. Legacy media has been censored and bought out. We live in a term of rapidly declining rights and you’re oblivious.

Freedom of speech was explicitly created to protect political speech. Also, you completely glossed over the other two points I mentioned. People are being indicted and convicted over social media posts, legally observing ICE activities, and peaceful protest. Look into the Minnesota 15 or the Spokane 3. Even the recent Prairieland convictions were ridiculous, and should hopefully be overturned on appeal.

Not to mention, the dozens upon dozens of people arrested outside Whipple or Delaney for simply refusing to disperse on a public sidewalk at the order of ICE, whose jurisdiction doesn’t even include crowd control.
