People who think the confederacy is part of the traditional past. The whole point of the confederacy was to succeed from the Union. It’s mostly a Southern thing and not a northern thing. There wasn’t a party switch. You have democrats saying black people do not own an id or know how to use the internet. Biden said he didn’t want his kids in a racial jungle.

Yes, the point of the Confederacy was to secede from the North, so obviously it was a “Southern thing.” That doesn’t change the fact that they did it because they were fearful of the ABOLISHMENT OF SLAVERY. Being prideful of the FOUR YEARS that your state seceded in the past when they did it for such an abhorrent reason is fucking insane. And yeah, that was racist of Biden to say. I don’t like him. That’s not true. An Afro-Cuban man was once a national chairman of the group, but didn’t found the Proud Boys. That also doesn’t make them not white supremacist. They associate with other white supremacist groups, and individuals in the group are known to hold those values. Their end vision is white supremacist in nature, even if it’s currently useful to keep others around.

Wrong, abolishment of slavery didn’t come later into the war when the North decided they would get more support if they stood for ending slavery. Slavery played a factor but it wasn’t the only reasoning for them to secede from the union. It is an abhorrent reason, and those people were democrats.
