Unfortunately, there is evidence that Israeli troops have intentionally targeted journalists, healthcare workers, and civilians (for example, shooting civilians at aid sites, which i assume most people have heard about). And it compares it to world war 2 because it was a world war—it makes a point about the scale of the conflict

Comparing 3 bombing campaigns on 3 major cities during the span of a 6 year war, to whats happening now is misleading. Even more so, see how it says “estimated tons of explosives dropped”, that’s not an actual number of bombs per the headline

It kinda is in a couple of ways. The digram only shows individual targets not bombing area a better example would have been the Ruhr. It also doesn’t show death rates only tonnage. Which can be misleading for example Tokyo during operation meeting house had around 1,500 tons of bombs dropped on it. It lead to 100k dead, over one million homeless and over 250k buildings destroyed although being 1,500 tons it had the same death rate as 70k tons by Israel

Israel and its settler insurgents are the terrorists. in israel they openly admit the goal is complete annihilation, you are either ignorant and stupid or an evil person who doesn’t deserve the air you breathe. the deaths in gaza are overwhelmingly CHILDREN. many of these children come into the hospital with a single precise bullet wound to the head, and IOF soldiers don’t even hide that they shoot children for fun and target practice, they brag.

That makes sense that it can be misleading because the number of tonnes does not necessarily correlate to the number of lives lost/impacted. I guess to me, it still gives perspective because it shows the amount of explosives that have been dropped on such a tiny piece of land

I see what you mean but wouldn’t measuring it by tonnes be more accurate than measuring by # of bombs since some bombs are bigger/more dangerous than others?

You can also see how much modern jets can carry. F-35 fighter can carry 16.5 tons worth of bombs the B-17 mission load was around 4 tons. One fighter can match the destructive power of 4 bombers

You’re saying Israel tries to minimize civilian casualties and I made the point that evidence seems to point to the opposite being true (which is why it has been declared a genocide by many reputable human rights organizations). You aren’t addressing the fact that there is evidence that they are not trying to minimize civilian casualties at all & in fact, have been targeting them
