At the very least it makes us less safe. Every time we indiscriminately bomb shit in the Middle East we create a new generation of traumatized people who want to see us go down. in addition this war doesn’t seem well thought out. the interventions that went well were quite limited and worked out with our allies finally, “extended bombing campaign that kills scores of civilians” is probably not what anti-ayatollah Iranians have in mind when they ask for help

The only thing example I can think of since world war 2 that went well was Grenada and that was a tiny island. Every other intervention I can think of was either successful in establishing an authoritarian far right regime (which was the actual goal), or failed to install a democracy
