What amazes me is not once did Cuba ever pose a legitimate threat to the United States yet they pose a great enough danger that we have to deliberately starve them

They did during the Cuban missile crisis. You can also say that about most of the wars we fought like Germany wasn’t a threat to us(ww1 and realistically ww2) But yeah Cuba has never really been a threat to us

The Cuban missile crisis was a response to the US placing missiles in Turkey, much like how the US used NATO states as puppets to posture against the Soviets, the Soviets did the same with their puppets. The Cuban government itself has never threatened to attack the United States

And Cuba was absolutely in their right to have missiles after the US had missiles installed across Europe lol. The Cuban Missile Crisis was literally just “nooo you can’t do what we do, that’s scary”

Cuba actually didn’t want them it was due to pressure from the Soviets that made Castro relent. Of course the US had missiles in Europe that’s where Soviet missiles were
