Here’s the plan. I’m not sure he has the political capital to repeal the CHIPS act, and even if he did Republicans still agree with its goals so they would immediately pass an identical law and tell their base it’s better. Then when silicon and microprocessor manufacturing grew in America (as a result of the CHIPS act) he would take all the credit. Of course he’ll do this anyways, but more people will see the bullshit.
