While I’m absolutely not supporting the White House at all here, and don’t believe them for a single minute, I do think it’s important to note how often we forget Epstein files don’t just contain names of clients and pedos. They also contain identities of victims, and discussions around the files’ release will involve their information being shared, and protecting that is vitally important. So it does make sense discussions happen in private to avoid data leaks, bc any leak puts victims at risk

Now is that why the White House did it? Absolutely the fuck not. But should we be a bit glad they did, bc it ends up protecting a lot of people who society already failed by letting them be victimized with no justice, yeah. I think we should.
