Tucker fucking Carlson has now spoken out about the fascism taking root through the MAGA party. This is a wake up call, dissent is in jeopardy because of ultra nationalism and it’s at the point that distinctly republican speakers are now switching sides

Stay informed and step outside your echo chambers. We need to hear both sides and actually talk to each other before this escalated into either civil war, or a fascist overtake of our free democracy. Tons of republicans are already switching sides in the wake of the administrations actions against hard fought REPUBLICAN ideals and policies. Seriously question whether you want to continue to have the right to disagree with the government or not

He can switch sides, but we won’t forget his many contributions that got us to where we are. He’s culpable

I don’t think he or any other Republicans making similar comments are switching sides. Carlson has always been and likely always will be pretty far to the right. It’s just now the administration has pushed WAYYYY further to the right and now a firmly right-leaning man can seem reasonable in comparison.

Think of Bush, Reagan, and Nixon in comparison to Trump. Bush, who was very hot-headed and quick to make escalations, now seems normal. Reagan, as awful as he was for the US in most ways, supported immigration and even the Iran-Contra scandal seems much more tame in comparison. Nixon, who was paranoid about protestors, had a much more tame reaction to them than Trump and even Watergate feels so trivial compared to today.

Ya, he’s still republican but that’s ok too. Republicans aren’t the problem, it’s MAGA that’s the nationalist movement. Discourse between apposing beliefs is what our country is built on, capitalism lives on the constant fight between businesses. He’s aware of this too it seems, and as much as I disagree policy wise with him at least we can agree on the limitations of the law and the over reaching of power being done by MAGA

Definitely! As much as I dislike him, it’s refreshing to see someone stand their ground rather than being dragged further to the right with the administration. I never imagined Tucker Carlson and Jon Stewart would ever be on the same side of a political opinion, but here we are

Republicans are the problem. They are the party of Trump. They prove this every time they have the opportunity to push back against him, or stop harmful behavior. They could have prevented this by simply voting for his impeachment in the senate his first term. They voted party over country. They always vote party over country. Don’t ever forget
