It was absolutely worth it. We need to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels and this is exactly how to do it

the thing is, the us will supply itself. i believe theres enough american oil reserves to cover at least these necessities, maybe slower, at a higher price, but it would be done. however, supplying ourselves would come at the cost of who we supply to, which i believe is europe. so europe is getting COMPLETELY fucked, no oil from west asia, from the us, or from russia. its just really hard for me to imagine that europe wont have a canada-esque anti-america response and just get their own carneys

a lot of far right or even just right wing european parties have been pushing for this self sufficiency, fair degree of isolationism rhetoric (largely derived from racist thought trains, though some for fear of international relations failing them) and if this hits them hard, i think its impossible to ignore that they CANT be self sufficient, that theyre dependent on the global economy. trumps actions SHOULD have a far reaching impact that hurts all right wing parties

we are running out and arent keeping pace for sure, but my point was more that we have our own sources of oil, and that would be used for necessary transport, like food and cargo. its not an apocalyptic situation, though the brunt of america and its dumb ass car dependence is going to get absolutely railed. im getting a bike and live near a train and am moving to nyc so like fine to me but the whole country's general pop is cooked for transport

from an economic standpoint, this is looking heinous, bordering on armageddon, and if the us is forced to shut out europe, its actually going to be pandemonium. GOD INSTALLED TRUMP AS PRESIDENT SOLELY BECAUSE HE AND HE ALONE WOULD ACCELERATE THE CHINESE CENTURY OF GLORY
