“Don’t you hate that the genocidal terroristic global empire has gone full mask off? Wouldn’t you rather it have a soft, superficial progressive veneer instead while it terrorizes the rest of the world?”Yy clout farming aside I think you know quite well that there are differences between the foreign policy decisions that would’ve been made, not to mention domestic ones. I believe many Venezuelan fishermen and Iranian teachers are aware of the difference even if neither of the options were remotely good
Israel is an important ally and we definitely scratch each others backs but they don’t control America, even if we do them favors in return for helping us do our dirty work. I agree that we likely would’ve seen endorsement of genocide in Gaza just like we had under Biden but we would not be blowing up schools and fishermen and kidnapping leaders of sovereign nations. The fact that both choices are horrible doesn’t negate the fact that these horrendous foreign policy decisions could be avoided
Harris probably would have been a little less overt about it and probably wouldn’t have gotten as much media coverage, and might not have assassinated fishermen, but I don’t see how she would have done anything to prevent invasions and damage to Iran, Cuba, Venezuela, etc.
And I agree that the Israeli lobby is strong regardless of party but strikes under Harris would’ve at least been done with more attention to international law which is important. The trump admin immediately dissolved the civilian protection center of excellence which was created to avoid the exact sort of thing as what happened to the Iranian girls school. Someone slightly less monstrous than hegseth would be a meaningful improvement to people on the ground
