yeah, when defining culture it’s got “fuzzy” boarders. everyone has culture but saying there’s an entire culture solely tied to race is not how it works. there’s also region, socio-economic status, history, acculturation, and syncretism/creolization. there’s also local and national cultural practices that get embedded in various groups. when studying culture all of that has to be examined to actually pin it down

Like, the reason in America we have a more umbrella idea of “black/hispanic/asian culture” is bc these different cultures have been forced to combine into one to find support and livelihoods that white people also did. They all molded into one, but particularly for white and Hispanic peoples they endured a form of oppression and racism unlike white people. We stripped them of cultural identity so they could be slaves/servant class. There is still Italian, German, Irish, English cultural divide
