A gambling app that lets you gamble on lots of non-traditional things, like who will win elections, whether a bill will pass Congress, who will be given awards at shows, etc

Anonymous#33w
Ok wow yeah that’s nuts
18
Anonymous#23w
So cnn is gonna be plugging gambling while they talk abt current events or what?
27
Anonymous#23w
Pretty much, the amount of insider influence we see in the news is about the skyrocket
15
Anonymous#53w
Yes but this gives the media and bad actors incentive to fuck with current affairs rather than corporate sabotage

Anonymous#23w
You know how ESPN shows odds all the time now? CNN might be the same

Kalshi is basically betting, but in a way that gets around state gambling laws. You’re trading futures contracts, so it’s kind of like stocks. Therefore, it’s legal in all 50 states, and you can bet on stuff that’s usually not on a US-regulated book, like election outcomes

I don’t really see the connection. How would CNN be able to fuck with current affairs more than they already could right now?

Anonymous#63w
There’s too many hypotheticals

Also the stock market is somewhat regulated, this is a wild wild west

This is regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, but I think it may be up to Congress or a non-Trump-controlled CFTC to rein this in
