 My question is why are they trying to link vaccines and autism so badly? Do they wanna be right that fucking bad? Do they want us all to die from polio? I don’t understand the goal, linking bullshit studies with a 33 sample size on the official CDC site

I think it’s tied to this view of autism as something inferior. People like RFK Jr are convinced there has to be an environmental cause and not just that we are getting better at diagnosing it. Vaccines was what he first went for hard, but like Tylenol or whatever else also works. He wants a way to eliminate autism without actual genetic-based eugenics.

i mean there’s been an acute rise in the amount of people affected by autism. there’s something going on, and it should better pinned down. if they wanna stay on vaxes then they need to pull some shit start a large scale study asap though

So there’s already been multiple large scale studies involving MILLIONS of children that show there’s no link between autism and vaccines. And where are you getting this ‘acute rise in autism’ thing from? The most I’ll give you is that under new understandings in psychology, there’s been a broader demographic of people seeking out and receiving an autism diagnosis. That doesn’t mean more people were autistic than before, it means the disability that’s always been there has become more visible

It would be a possible ideological leap (Trump already talks about bad genes after all), but I think more likely they will keep trying to look for fake bs causes and falsely claim success when there was none. Maybe RFK Jr’s proposed “recreation camps” for ADHD etc kids would harm them enough to mask their symptoms.
