it doesn’t suck ~absolutely~ there is objectively some merit in fighting back against animal testing, animal cruelty, and factory farming. but their methods can be troublesome & their messaging can also sometimes be troublesome.

I’d argue that it does absolutely suck, they are taking a decent message and then going about it in a way that turns the majority of people against the movement Would not surprise me at all if one day comes out that they were a controlled opposition the whole time

you know they do a lot of actually good things? but no one ACTUALLY follows peta to know that. so ofc the most unpopular shit is the most widely publicized. that doesn’t make them “controlled opposition.” it’s the typical capitalist machine telling you factory farming must be the way because some random peta volunteer tried to break into a farm somewhere or storm a fashion show.
