When an establishment dem wins: “sorry lefties, it’s vote blue no matter who” When a DSA candidate wins: “umm did we ever say ‘vote blue no matter who’ because I don’t remember saying that. Anyways I’m going to maybe have to consider voting for Rapey McMinor-Groomer (R) instead”

Maintaining the status quo is most certainly not progress, compare the ideology of progressives like AES or Mamdani to that of liberals like Schumer, Pelosi, or Kamala

This is just semantics they’re saying they’re for some change with the system so they’re progressive. You’re saying it’s not enough so it’s not progressive again there’s not one correct definition.

To get a little more into bc I think it’s interesting. The idea of progress is this concept that as time goes on things trend in a positive direction. Fascist don’t believe in that they usually believe in some mythic past that’s what “make America great again” is hinting at. That we shouldn’t go forward but go back to this myth past.
