can we just acknowledge the overlap of this “privilege” and their probability of people assaulted or harassed sexually in this country lol

it only exists in the rhetorical sense, ya. but notice that the “privilege” in concept is a relation to utility to a man (thus why patriarchy creates this ‘privilege’ where women are stratified based on how useful they are as a ‘commodity’). a “vessel of reproduction” 😔. “youth” “fertility” “her prime has passed” “have kids” “her worth was over anyways”.

it’s an unpopular opinion because if this was popular, then there wouldn’t be patriarchy. actual misogynists who say they’re anti-patriarchy believe it’s reducible to a wage-gap, when the family was created through men needing to know women’s offspring were theirs, creating monogamy, and policing the female sexuality. so then we get the “woman” category and retroactively apply it into the past. and then like you are the “gateway” into a kinship system. not where land is passed down (men line)
