Communities where weddings are a fucking huge, exciting event have it right ngl. I don’t want my wedding to primarily be an occasion for silence and solemnity — it should be a celebration of how awesome and exciting it is to love each other and be spending our lives together. I’m happy to indulge in some of the more traditional pageantry, but overall I’d like that to take a backseat to celebration together of an awesome milestone and the excitement it represents.
