The highest used drug besides Alcohol that you can OD on is prescription opioids. OP, in their own words is "restarted and low IQ" for calling ppl that when shown evidence that they were wrong. My point is also to sat that in most places they already are completely illegal to sell or use. OP is simply dumb and gets mad when PROVEN wrong.
Fentanyl has medical purpose. Cocaine technically has medical purpose. Same with Methamphetamine. Keep in mind these are all Schedule II, at the same alleged risk as Adderall, a medicine I personally am prescribed. I take it as prescribed and have been forced to stop cold turkey several times without incident because of the shortage issues.
AGREED! Decriminalization of all drugs would be a huge step forward, as it would allow for better outreach programs as well as people more willing to potentially enter rehab since they won’t have to worry about criminal charges. Banning drug distribution but not drugs themselves is a great idea
You cannot entirely eliminate the presence of something as pervasive and easy to covertly possess, use, and transport as drugs in any adequately free society. Hell you couldn’t even fully eliminate it in an extremely suppressed and surveilled society, which in and of itself creates the individual psychological conditions that motivate escapism and pleasure seeking activities, mind altering substances being a big subset of these activities.
It’s not criminal activity if it is decriminalized. Additionally, how do you expect people to take drugs if distribution is decriminalized? People taking drugs isn’t necessarily the problem, it’s a symptom of a problem. Additionally, how do you expect people to go to rehab if they are nervous about potentially facing criminal charges?
Absolutely, we strive for achievements that are actually possible, and the improvements it brings may unlock the impossible. You cannot just skip ten steps and hope to achieve perfection. In fact your advocacy here will both actively harm people in the immediacy, and set us back materially, socially, and culturally in transforming impossibility into possibility.
I’m sorry, are we talking about vandalism or drug addiction? Stay on topic Also we know this is objectively incorrect, because what I am suggesting isn’t some theory. Portugal has implemented the policy I am discussing and has shown HUGE decreases in drug addicts and drug related deaths
