Why can’t liberal states have low taxes like red states

Bc the blue states have to pay for all the red states services

I would love for that, but they have to pay for services to help people. Especially right now when the president is playing favorites and refusing federal funding to blue states. It’s on them to use their state taxes to pay for programs. They are the ones that supported SNAP when congress failed, who will provide heat/warmth for the winter and address issues our federal government won’t. So until they deal with things and build a better system it’s this way .

well thank god for mississippi. low taxes! they just got rid of their income tax too! oh wait they get like 60% of their money from the federal government? with no plan to repay? and the income tax is going to get partially replaced by sales tax, which are a flat tax which proportionately is bigger the poorer you are? and mississippi is already a very poor state? so the poor eat shit and then get fed more shit

NH is purple but they have no income tax and no sales tax. I live in DE and we have no sales tax and low income tax compared to the surrounding states
